My husband and I have a love for this country and history. My family on my mom’s side has been political minded. I remember my mom telling me that they wanted my grandfather to run for governor of Louisiana but he told them that even though one goes in honest he never comes out honest. He told them he could do more outside than inside.

I never in my life had thought of writing a book, but now I am in my sixties and seeing our country going downhill faster and faster as we elect people who are more interested in power than the American people.

When I was growing up, my mom always had me look things up. I remember her always looking things up when someone would say something on the radio or TV. Her favorite phrase seemed to be “Check it out” and that is what I want people to do.

I pray that this book will motivate people to look things up and not take all this pie in the sky lies that politicians have given us.
